In 3 years, the education sector has actively promoted the application of IT into teaching and learning in a bid to satisfy the needs of reforms. making use of smart interactive board in teaching English to her
students The Ativboard is set up at Dong Hoa Elementary School of Di An Town in a transferring agreement with Di An Senior High School together with 35 projectors supplied by Department of Education and Training to all class rooms of the school. The Ativboard not only offers mathematics learning but also English learning.Mr. Phan Thanh Son, Principle of Dong Hoa Elementary School said: “Our teaching staff master the use of the board and electronic lesson plans, whereas, we aim at bringing joy to the learners by applying IT. Functionalities of the board support teachers in their class rooms while students are brought joy in learning.”Ms. Le Thi Nga, a Grade 4 teacher said: “Previously when the system is not applicable, aside from the student’s books, a teacher’s must-haves consist of A4 plastic matching pictures selected by the teacher herself. For each topic, she should bring up the right pictures to illustrate. Now, with the existence of Activboard, we only need a few twists to show up a bundle of very useful pictures and documents. The system supports us much in teaching and bringing joy to the learning students.”Thanks to the application of interactive projects to support learning and teaching process, many education facilities have saved up time and costs while maintaining more attractive and visual lessons to students.Ms. Vo Thi Thanh Truc, teacher of Class 2E, the only class in Dong Hoa Elementary is test tried with Ativboard said: students would be attracted to bundle of images, sounds, and movies in their lessons.Students shall be accessible to all subjects thanks to multifunctioning system of smart interactive board.Meantime at Tran Phu Elementary School in Thu Dau Mot City, Department of Education and Training sets up Hiteach board and smart interactive board to service their teaching. On our visit to the school at a Grade 5 English classroom where all students and teachers have been enjoying their teaching and learning experience thanks to smart and interactive approach. The teacher only needs a few twists on the toolbars to give effects on the lesson with random selection of students for answering questions.To be so engaged in the lesson, the students are enjoying the interaction which does not require much contribution from the teachers.Multimedia is also integrated.Reported by N.
