All preparation tasks for the national high school exam 2019 were performed thoughtfully and fully by provincial Department of Education and Training (DOET) in collaboration with three universities, colleges in Ho Chi Minh City, relevant departments and sectors, and areas in the province.

All conditions and services for the exam are completed
For the National High School Exam 2019, provincial Department of Education and Training was assigned by Ministry of Education and Training to preside the Exam Council No. 47 in collaboration with Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City, Lac Hong University, and Central Pedagogical College of Ho Chi Minh City. This year, Binh Duong had 10,925 contestants taking the exam. Based on the contestant number and survey of facilities conditions, DOET selected 16 high schools, 4 secondary schools, and Dau Tieng district Center for Vocational Training - Continuing Education as testing locations. All 21 testing locations ensured absolute safety for the national high school exam 2019.
Nguyen Hong Sang, Director of DOET, said: “The Department directed these schools to review and repair material facilities for the exam; arrange waiting rooms for contestants according to exam regulations; direct schools to perform cleaning of classrooms, examination rooms, and toilets. Besides, the schools advised local leaders to arrange places for catering, rest, and parking to ensure good health and safety for examination officials. The Department also established teams to inspect material facilities at the testing sites. After inspecting, all 21 testing sites ensured absolute safety for the exam”.
On June 23, final works preparing for the national high school exam 2019 were completed by DOET. The Department handed over contestant lists to testing sites; examination rooms; photos of contestants, contest cards... Also on June 23, DOET organized a training class for supervising staff of the exam.
To ensure absolute safety and security
On June 23, 599 officials and teachers gathered at testing sites and began to perform their duties as assigned. Associate Professor - Dr. Doan Thanh Ha, Vice Rector of HCMC University of Banking, said that their officials and lecturers had participated in examination work for many years but were not subjective. The school trained carefully their staff for tasks, like invigilation, assessing multiple-choice tests. A representative of the Central Pedagogical College of Ho Chi Minh City also affirmed that they would strictly implement and cooperated with Binh Duong to ensure that the exam took place safely and successfully.
In addition to the three mentioned above universities and colleges, DOET also cooperated with relevant departments, agencies, and units to prepare for the exam. Accordingly, Provincial Police sent officers to protect and supervise the printing of exam questions; protect the delivery of exam questions from Ministry of Education and Training to printing locations, protect delegates delivering exam papers to testing sites in the province. The work of security protection, traffic order and safety, fire and explosion prevention and control at testing sites was also jointly performed by public security forces from the province to districts, towns, cities, communes, and wards. During this exam, every department and localities took on tasks and responsibilities to make the exam go smoothly.
Dr. Huynh Thanh Ha, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Health, said: “We send medical staff to support the printing process of exam questions. Depending on each testing site, the department appointed medical staff or groups to serve; collaborated with relevant departments, agencies, and units to ensure food safety and hygiene, to prevent absolutely food poisonings during the exam. During the exam days, exam staff and contestants felt secure, because there was medical staff to take care of, and provide emergency care for urgent cases”.
Department of Transportation also set up a plan to ensure smooth traffic and transportation. The Department directed transport businesses and units to create favorable conditions, consolidate their forces to ensure adequate transport means to meet demands during the exam. In addition, the department arranged 20 coaches to pick up exam staff.
During exam seasons, voluntary youth force in the province has always accompanied contestants during exam days. Accordingly, Provincial Youth Union and Students Union set up voluntary teams to give advices, assist contestants at testing sites, to pick up, provide free water, snacks, stationeries, psychological counseling for contestants before entering exam rooms.
