In an interview with us, Ms. Luu Thi Tuyet Trinh, Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Tan Uyen City, stated that this year, due to the global situation, many businesses in Tan Uyen City are also facing difficulties in finding orders and experiencing shortages of raw materials. As a result, the income and livelihood of workers are also affected. However, fundamentally, the employment of workers is still a concern for labor unions and employers. Specifically, despite facing difficulties, many grassroots trade unions have continued to take good care of workers, such as the grassroots trade union of Da Hop Evatech Vietnam Co., Ltd., the grassroots trade union of My Gia Wood Trading and Production Co., Ltd., and Danh Ich Furniture Co. Ltd. "In general, in order to retain workers, businesses in Tan Uyen city always pay close attention to wage policies, social insurance, health insurance, and organize various activities to take care of workers," shared Ms. Tuyet Trinh.
At the conference between the leadership of trade unions at all levels and employers recently organized by the Provincial Labor Federation, the organizers have acknowledged many contributions to promoting the role of trade unions in building labor relations at the end of the year. During the conference, Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan, Standing Committee Member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Board, stated that the organization of the conference aims to timely grasp the situation, advantages, and difficulties that businesses and workers are facing. The provincial trade union promptly advises the province on solutions to gradually overcome difficulties for businesses, helping workers to settle down and prosper, accompanying the development of businesses and the province. Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan affirms that Binh Duong province always considers the difficulties of businesses as the difficulties of the province, and the difficulties of workers as the priority issues to be resolved by the province.
Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan further stated that the recent difficult period has been a test of resilience for businesses, and it is predicted that there will be even more challenging impacts in the coming time. Therefore, businesses need to grasp the process of transformation, technology application, machinery and equipment utilization, effective business management, cost reduction, stable labor force, skilled workforce, and good customer relationships. Workers need to overcome difficulties, continuously improve their skills, have a sense of legal compliance, accompany businesses, and contribute to the development of Binh Duong province.

Currently, many businesses are facing difficulties with labor supply as workers are quitting due to a lack of orders or stagnant production. These issues have been raised by some delegates at the meeting between labor union leaders at all levels and employers. According to the delegates, in order to prevent and effectively resolve disputes, cease collective actions based on ensuring the legitimate and rightful rights and interests of workers and sharing difficulties with enterprises, and build harmonious labor relations, aiming for the sustainable development of enterprises. In the coming period, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, the Provincial Labor Union, and related sectors need to implement multiple measures to enhance coordination in propaganda and counseling work for workers, focusing on ensuring stable employment, livelihoods, and incomes as driving forces for business stability. Chairwoman Nguyen Kim Loan of the provincial Trade Union stated that the trade unions at all levels have effectively carried out the task of disseminating information to workers in order to fully understand the common difficulties and share them with businesses, ensuring stability and harmonious interests. In the coming period, the trade unions at all levels will continue to enhance dialogue activities to improve the quality of communication, listen to and share difficulties with businesses and workers.
In order to focus on workers, in recent times, labor unions at all levels have effectively fulfilled their role as representatives, safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. Assistance to workers in the process of labor contract signing, advising workers on their rights and obligations in the contracts they sign to ensure their interests; participating in, negotiating, signing, and monitoring the implementation of collective labor agreements between workers and employers, the conditions in the labor relationship that have been discussed and agreed upon through collective bargaining. In addition, the trade union organization also participates in the construction and supervision of the implementation of salary scales, wage payment regulations, bonuses, and labor regulations. At the same time, the trade union organization directly exchanges with employers to resolve issues regarding the rights and obligations of workers, especially in terms of wages and year-end bonuses.
