To promote tourism potentials of Nui Cau – Dau Tieng

In Tet Holiday 2018, the ecological tourism site of Nui Cau – Dau Tieng in Dau Tieng District received over 27,000 turns of visitors from inside and outside of the province. The delight outcome opened up opportunities for the site to be developed for the time to come.

Nui Cau – Dau Tieng is a combination of river, water and mountain, creating the peaceful and calm traits in the tremendous scenery of nature. The place is selected for touring, recreation, and pagoda visits.

Nui Cau – Dau Tieng consists of constructions and landmarks of great public attention including Thai Son Pagoda which was constructed on 50 meters high of the mount on 5 hectares in 1988.

On fests and major events, people from various localities come to the place for worshiping. On the first days of spring, visitors have rushed up to wish for the best of their life in combination with trek and relaxation after a year of making ends meet. Cau mount is covered with diversified plants and protective forest while Dau Tieng Lake is surrounded by bamboo woods and wild plants in between.

Heading to South-Southwest down Cau mount following flows through the rocks and bamboo woods along the slopes, we could find out a round pond of about 3-m depth and 10-m round, named Than Tho. The spring is named Truc (bamboo). In the area, a large sized and flat rock base with thousands of rocks naturally arranged for camping.

Meantime, towards West-Northwest of the site is Dau Tieng Lake which is a large irrigation construction covering 27,000 hectares to hold 1.5 billion cubic meters of water to service agriculture production. Holding large water preserve, Dau Tieng Lake is capable of supply water for hundreds of thousands of farm and vegetable lands in Tay Ninh, Binh Duong, Long An, and Ho Chi Minh City. Besides, on Dau Tieng Lake, local people cultivate fish; thus, the lake is selected by many youths visiting, fishing, and trekking.

Tran Tong Dinh, Head of Culture and Information Division of Dau Tieng District informe that Nui Cau – Dau Tieng has been approved as provincial site under Decision No. 3566/QD-UBND dated August 17, 2007. Currently, Cau mount is within strictly protected forest. Dau Tieng Lake is under irrigation control of Dau Tieng-Phuoc Hoa Co. Ltd.

Currently, Dau Tieng District is calling for competent investors to develop Nui Cau – Dau Tieng in a bid to develop local tourism. On September 21, 2015, provincial People’s Committee issued Decision No. 2413/QD-UBND regarding the approval of investment into preservation and development of tourism complex with wild animals on Cau mount, Tha La islet, Dinh Thanh Commune of Dau Tieng District. Accordingly, provincial People’s Committee assigned Xuan Cau Co. Ltd. to hold with land-use scale of 1,232 hectares for over VND 1,544 billion from 2015 through 2023. The project is considered as a highlight of future tourism in Dau Tieng District.

Tourism development coupled with preservation and promotion of cultural values and creating ecology shall elevate position of tourism in Dau Tieng District, contributing to the improvement of public living standards as the righteous orientation of Dau Tieng District.
