Tourism promotion strives to overcome difficulties, perform well main tasks

On December 16, Binh Duong Provincial Center for Tourism Promotion held a conference to summarize tourism promotion work in 2021.

In 2021, the Covid-19 pandemic significantly affected the operation of the Provincial Tourism Promotion Center, specifically tourism promotion activities, tourism events, fairs could not be organized, hence information and tourism activities of the province did not follow the set plan. However, with the close attention and direction of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Tourism Promotion Center implemented the annual work program and gained good results.

The center used its official website to provide visitors with information about Binh Duong tourism quickly and conveniently; exploited the strengths of the website to connect and share information with tourism agencies across the country. Besides, the center regularly supports and encourages tourism service businesses inside and outside the province to promote images, expanded joint ventures and associations to form tours and tourist routes to meet the increasing demand of tourists. Tourism promotion continued to be performed and received the attention of provincial districts, towns and cities, especially the support from touris service providers in the province.

In particular, in the past year, the center advised Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to successfully hold the contest "Beautiful photos of Binh Duong tourism 2021", contributing to introduce the land and people of Binh Duong to locals and tourists.

Speaking at the conference, Nguyen Thanh Phong, Deputy Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, praised good performance results of the Provincial Tourism Promotion Center in the past year. He also asked the center to continue making efforts to overcome difficulties, focus on a number of key tasks in 2022 by the safe and flexible adaptation to the Covid-19.

He recommended the center needs to enhance digitalizing tourism, communication and promotion, support localities to form tours and tourist routes to serve visitors; develop a plan to promote and introduce "Binh Duong tourism - destination and experience" and attract more and more tourists to Binh Duong.

On this occasion, the Provincial Tourism Promotion Center had 2 collectives and 2 individuals receiving certificates of merit of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism for successfully completing their tasks in 2021.
