Unions and associations in frontline Tet care for young working people

Continuing to enhance the socialization of caring for young workers during the Lunar New Year of 2024, the provincial Youth Union will deploy and organize various practical activities to support the material and spiritual lives of young workers.

Energized trips home

Every year, during the traditional Tet holiday of the ethnic people, the Provincial Youth Union organizes large-scale programs to take care of and support young workers, as well as integrate gratitude towards the core forces and landlords who have contributed to the work of unity and gathering young workers in the organization of the Youth Union. Built on the achievements of previous years, the program "Welcoming the Year of the Dragon - Launching the "2024 Youth Volunteer Year" has been meticulously planned by the provincial Youth Union Executive Committee with practical activities for young workers and laborers to participate in, especially the "2024 Tet Energy Journey". The program will be lively with cultural performances celebrating the Party and the Spring, a competition for decorating apricot and peach trees, making banh chung and banh tet, food stalls, contributing to creating a joyful atmosphere, relaxation, entertainment, and enhancing the spiritual life of young workers.

Two unions sign cooperation deal to intensify union operations

In addition, the Provincial Youth Union will coordinate the organization of activities to support young workers during the Lunar New Year, such as market sessions of original price and VND-0 stalls, and distribution of aid packages to young workers facing difficult circumstances. The provincial Youth Union also handed over the gifts from the provincial People's Committee to the secretaries of the youth unions, heads of the youth associations, leaders of the teams, groups, and officials who have implemented the Unity Initiative, gathering young workers and laborers in the province. Not only that, at the Giap Thin New Year program, the provincial Youth Union also gave away tickets to young workers and disadvantaged laborers to go home for Tet, expressing gratitude to landlords and presenting the "New Year's Feast" program to youth worker associations, clubs, teams, and groups.

In addition, the provincial Youth Union directs the Youth Union - Youth Association units in the province to implement the program "New Year's meal - Sharing love" at dormitories and youth worker associations in the province. Each district, city, and town organizes the program in at least 10 dormitories for young workers' families who are facing difficulties and are unable to return to their hometown for the Lunar New Year. Base units actively implement the form of Tet day meals and distribute gifts, lucky money envelopes, cultural and artistic activities at the workers' youth union in the dormitory.

Springtime journeys

To promote the enthusiastic spirit and volunteerism of the Youth Union organization, fostering unity and solidarity between local communities and young workers who are far from home, the Youth Union at all levels will actively organize accompanying activities with workers during the upcoming Lunar New Year. Participating in the "Bringing Tet Home" program in 2024 organized by the Central Youth Union, the Provincial Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Federation of the province will organize visits and gift-giving at the departure points of the buses in Binh Duong that bring disadvantaged young workers from the Central and Northern regions back to their hometowns for Tet. Alongside this, the Provincial Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Federation of the province will also organize the "Energy-filled Tet Journey 2024" program to bring young workers with difficult circumstances back to their hometowns.

For districts, towns, cities, and affiliated youth organizations, the Provincial Youth Union directs 100% of the units to organize the program "Spring Journey - Sharing Love". Accordingly, district-level and affiliated units are responsible for implementing and mobilizing resources to deliver gifts to disadvantaged workers in their rented accommodations. In addition, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union organizes provincial-level trips to locations with a large number of disadvantaged young workers to distribute Tet gifts.

Not only that, the program "Supporting young workers to return home for Tet" will continue to be organized by the provincial Youth Union and District-level Youth Unions at inter-provincial checkpoints. district, city, and provincial Youth Unions will develop plans, establish volunteer youth teams, and hang banners at inter-provincial checkpoints. At the same time, there will be activities to support young workers returning home for Tet, such as giving gifts and drinks. Young people in the province join hands to build a compassionate image of Binh Duong, contributing to bringing spring to everyone.
