Vietnam-Binh Duong Ceramics Festival wrapped up

Vietnam-Binh Duong Ceramics Festival wrapped up on Sept. 8 evening after 7 days of activities with many plentiful programs. The festival lured about 400,000 visitors seeing products of 22 craft villages nationwide. The contest on Vietnamese ceramics attracted 48 works from 38 ceramic villages and businesses. As a result, there were 8 out of 11 works winning the Vietnamese ceramics records.

Besides, the trade promotion at the festival reached encouraging results with more than 90% of participating stalls selling out their products and signing contracts.

According to the organizing board, the festival took place safely and successfully and created good impression on participating units and visitors.

Addressing the closing ceremony, vice chairman of provincial People’s Committee Huynh Van Nhi, said the festival wrapped up successfully and showed activities needed in the coming time to reserve and uphold the ceramics industry’s value. In addition, it is necessary to map out strategies to link scientists, state and businesses together, set up ceramic village compounds and train human resources in a bid to raise competitive capacity and trademarks of the local ceramic industry in the int’l market.

The organizing board granted prizes to excellent individuals and workgroups contributing to the success of the event.
