The Vietnam-Slovakia Friendship Association (VSFA) on March 12 convened its second national congress for the 2011-2015 term.
Addressing the congress, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) Tran Dac Loi applauded the achievements and efforts VSFA and its member organisations have recorded over the years.
He expressed his hope that the organisation will proactively seek new partners and friends and boost the exchange of culture, economics and education.
The congress elected a new 25-member executive board headed by Doan Duy Khuong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
During the 2005-2010 term, VSFA had organised seminars and many other activities to strengthen on economic cooperation and traditional friendship between the two countries’ people.
