Vietnam will open showrooms in some European countries like France, Germany and Italy, says Vuong Dinh Ngan, Deputy Head of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency.
He says the Ministry of Industry and Trade has earmarked US$100,000 a year for its showroom in New York to increase its operational efficiency. Earlier, a similar centre in Dubai, the UAE, had to close due to its inefficient operations.
The main problems have been a lack of capital and a reluctance among companies to promote their products in these centres.
