The Asia Football Confederation (AFC) has granted the Vietnamese Olympic football team the right to start competing in the second round for a place in Olympic London 2010.

 This is based on the team’s good performance in 2010, especially ASIAD 16.

The team will play the two legs of the second round on June 19 and 23, 2011.

The national team will also begin the Asian region’s qualifying round on June 29 and July 3 next year for World Cup 2014.
