Vietnam is willing to share experience and increase cooperation with Mozambique, Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh has said.

The Party leader made the statement while receiving General Secretary of the Mozambican Liberation Front (Frelimo) Party Filipe Chimoio Paunde in Hanoi on June 18.

The Vietnamese Party chief thanked the Frelimo Party and the Mozambican people for their support and solidarity with Vietnam.

General Secretary Filipe Chimoio Paunde expressed his pleasure to visit Vietnam and witness the dynamic development of the Southeast Asian country.

He said Vietnam’s experiences in its struggle for national liberation and its current renewal process are precious to Mozambique and developing countries.

Earlier, the visiting general secretary held talks with Truong Tan Sang, politburo member and permanent member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee’s Secretariat.

The two sides informed each other of the situation of their respective Parties and countries and exchanged views on international issues of mutual concern.

They discussed measures to increase comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and two countries and agreed to increase experience sharing in Party building and delegation exchanges.

They agreed that the two Parties will urge relevant agencies to implement joint projects and support cooperation between Vietnamese and Mozambican businesses, especially in agriculture, health, education, telecommunication and oil and gas.

During their visit to Vietnam, the Frelimo Party delegation paid homage to Uncle Ho’s mausoleum and visited Ho Chi Minh City and Tien Giang, Binh Phuoc and Binh Duong provinces in the south.
