Vietnamese Family Day bustled with cultural and artistic activities

To celebrate the 13th anniversary of Vietnamese Family Day (June 28, 2001-2014) and to respond Vietnamese Family Year 2014, many localities across the province held many activities with plentiful contents and forms to honor family tradition and build wealthy, advanced, equal and happy families.

Thu Dau Mot city just held Vietnamese Family Day with the theme of "Building Vietnamese people's personality on moral education and lifestyle in family". The festive day attracted the participation of 20 typical families from 14 wards and laborers and public servants under the city. Families took part in exam parts such as multiple choice of family knowledge, folk games, musical performance and cooking to create exciting ambience as well as exchange together. Meanwhile, Phu Giao district just organized Vietnamese Family Day with the attendance of 33 typical families of 11 communes and townships throughout the district. On June 20, Dau Tieng district held a festival of typical cultural families. Attending the event included 26 households from 12 communes and townships. At the festival, families experienced exam parts including family knowledge, sport, musical performance and cooking. On June 21, Thuan An town division of Culture and Information forwarded Vietnamese Family Day 2014 with the theme of "Building Vietnamese people's personality on moral education and lifestyle in family" at Rosa Palace restaurant in An Phu ward. Participating in the festive day, 29 typical cultural families of the town enjoyed opportunities of exchange and experience learning through useful activities such as contests of music, sport, family knowledge, cooking and so on. On June 23, the provincial Women's Union held the opening ceremony of the 2014 Happy Family Competition at the provincial center for Culture and Movie. Attending the event were nearly 100 contestants from 27 typical cultural families from 9 districts, towns and Thu Dau Mot city throughout the province. The participating families competed in 3 exam parts such as knowledge multiple, aptitude and sport.
