Students are honored at the 1st contest of “Students learn about legal knowledge”.
The work on legal dissemination and education is a bridge to take the Party and State’s instruction to local people. Over the past years, with efforts of local sectors and agencies, the work upholds its efficiency.
Taking laws into real life
Nguyen Thu Trang, head of the legal dissemination division under the provincial Judiciary Department said “As many as 13 legal documents officially take effect since Jan. 1, 2015. In order to take these laws into real life, the provincial Council for Legal Dissemination and Education held many programs to promulgate new articles of these laws for local residents”.
According to Trang, the work on legal dissemination and education was in 2014 spurred and promoted efficiency. Based on figures from all level units, the entire province held 26,181 legal dissemination sessions with the participation of 1,885,826 people. The whole province also organized 128 legal learning contests with the attendance of 43,989 people.
In the past year, the provincial Council for Legal Dissemination and Education successfully held the 1st contest themed “Students learn about laws” for students of local universities and colleges. In addition, departments, agencies and mass bodies at all levels held many laws learning contests such as environmental protection, road traffic and traffic culture, women with legal knowledge and so on. These contests lured numerous people and cadres and public servants.
Luong Minh Canh, specialist of the Legal Dissemination Division under the provincial Farmers’ Society said “In the past year, aside from launching relevant documents, the society held a legal learning contest and real survey for local farmers to update their knowledge”.
Contents and forms renovated strongly
The provincial work on legal dissemination and education reached many encouraging results in the past years. Accordingly, the work was especially paid to people in rural areas, minority ethnic areas, laborers at enterprises, disabled people and prisoners.
Addressing the summing up conference of the work held on Jan. 13, Vo Van Minh, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee cum head of the provincial Council for Legal Dissemination and Education stressed “To create high efficiency for the work on legal dissemination and education, it is necessary to renovate from contents to forms, from provincial units to grassroot ones”. Positive change of contents and forms will bring high results for the work and increase local residents’ awareness on obeying laws. In addition, we should give priorities for disseminating laws to laborers at enterprises, added Minh.
Regarding orientation and task in 2015, Nguyen Anh Hoa, vice director of the provincial Judiciary Department cum vice head of the provincial Council for Legal Dissemination and Education added “2015 is a significant year for out country, so the local work on legal dissemination and education must be suitable to local requirements and situations. Specifically, we will aim at some key tasks of promulgating deeply and widely the revised Constitution 2013, successfully holding the writing contest on legal knowledge, launching and promulgating widely new legal documents and regulations involving in local residents’ life.
Besides, we should focus on launching drastically and effectively operation of the Council, diversifying forms of promulgation and so on”.
