201 outstanding collectives, individuals in taking Tet care for laborers honored

On the afternoon of May 10, Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee presided over a ceremony to award the certificates of merit of provincial People’s Committee Chairman to 201 outstanding collectives and individuals in taking care of laborers’ lives during the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2019.

The whole province is now more than 1.2million laborers, more than 80% of whom are immigrants. During the Tet festival 2019, provincial Labor Union proposed provincial People’s Committee to offer 10,350 gifts worth nearly VND5.2billion to workers with extremely difficult circumstances from the local State budget. The “sentimental bus” program also gave 5,600 bus and train tickets for needy workers to return their home town for Tet. Whilst, the “Gathering in Tet holiday” program was organized with many significant activities.

Along with functional agencies, province-based enterprises organized many activities taking care for laborers on Tet, including giving Tet gifts, bonuses; supporting bus and train tickets; holding year-end parties…
