2015 summer youth volunteer campaign gets animated

Last weekend, the 2015 summer youth volunteer campaign was launched across the province by Youth Unions at all levels. With the motto of “Each youth does a volunteer action”, the local Youth Union members have tried to realize significant youth works, contributing to building up urban civilization and new rural areas. Through volunteer activities during the campaign, the local youth will have a chance to train, devote their strength to the community, mature and proudly advance under the Party’s flag.

TDM city seemed to get more animated with a ceremony launching the 2015 summer youth volunteer campaign organized by its Youth Union last weekend.

TDM city’s Youth Union introduced volunteer squads and signed a joint program named “Coalition of three shirt colors” at the ceremony

The city’s youth volunteer squads on traffic safety, public healthcare, urban civilization…were introduced at the ceremony. On this occasion, the city’s Youth Federation Committee, Police Agency’s Youth Union and Military Command’s Youth Union also signed a joint program named “Coalition of three shirt colors” to join hands to engage activities in urban civilization construction, law dissemination, “paying debt of gratitude”…

The city’s Youth Union also showcased propaganda panels on the city’s Party Congress for the 2015-2020 tenure and festival for “dan vu” (people’s dance) groups.

After the ceremony, the local Youth Union members took part in a propaganda parade by bicycles; made environmental hygiene and cleared Thu Ngu canal in Chanh Nghia ward; delivered propaganda leaflets; eradicated illegal advertising boards on Yersin streets…

Meanwhile, more than 200 Youth Union members also actively responded to a ceremony launching the 2015 summer youth volunteer campaign organized by provincial Agencies Bloc’s Youth Union at provincial sub-Department of Rural Development.

During the campaign, provincial Agencies Bloc’s Youth Union will organize at least three stages on vocational consultancy and training for youngsters in the remote areas of the province; hold at least one legal consultancy program for young workers and locals; team up with relevant agencies to open 15 training courses on sci-tech advancements in cultivation and animal husbandry for farmers and rural youths; organize a goods-selling program with stabilized price for people in difficult areas of the province, a class on fire fighting and prevention for Youth Union members…

Getting volunteer activities to mature

Nguyen Minh Nghia, Vice-Secretary of provincial Agencies Bloc’s Party Committee cum Head of the bloc’s Steering Board of the campaign said: “The annual summer youth volunteer campaign is one of educational programs with a profound meaning to strongly uphold the creative and volunteer spirit of the bloc’s Youth Union members. The bloc’s youth works will contribute to eradicating hunger, reducing poverty, promoting economic development in remote and poor areas in and out of the province”.

Provincial Agencies Bloc’s Youth Union has also just started this year’s summer campaign by a series of practical activities, including providing free medical check-ups and medicine for needy people in Ben Cat town’s Hoa Loi ward; visiting and presenting 30 gifts worth VND200,000 to poor patients being treated at provincial General Hospital…

Whilst, Ben Cat town’s ceremony launching the 2015 summer youth volunteer campaign took place very jubilantly at Phu An Ecological Reserve in Phu An commune.

The local youngsters will focus on main programs, namely “Giving strength in the exam season-Giving strength to school”, “Green operation-Coalition of three shirt colors”, “Young workers-Young intellectual volunteering for the community”…during the campaign.

After the ceremony, the local Youth Union members actively got involved in making environmental hygiene and planting 300 green trees along DH 609 street in Phu An commune; delivered propaganda leaflets on the law, environmental protection…On this occasion, the town’s Youth Union also started construction of a house of compassion for Phan Minh Thuoc, a youth in need of housing in An Tan commune; visited and presented gifts to 2 heroic Vietnamese mothers in Phu An commune.

Nguyen Hoang Vinh, Permanent Vice-Secretary of Ben Cat town’s Youth Union cum Head of the town’s Steering Board of the campaign said: “…During the campaign, we will concentrate on socio-economic development; solve difficult issues with creative models and practical actions. The town’s volunteer activities for the community will be organized in each stage with suitable topics. With volunteer activities full of significance, the campaign will be an environment for the local Youth Union members to train, contribute their strength to the community and mature…”.
