The qualifying round will take place from July 11-26 to select the seven teams that will play the host Ho Chi Minh City in the final stage on August 7-17.

 

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) held a ceremony on June 16 in Ho Chi Minh City to announce Hyundai-Vinashin Shipyard Co, Ltd will be the main sponsor for the event.

 

Song Cheol Won, CEO of the Hyundai-Vinashin Shipyard Co, Ltd, said his company will continue to sponsor future tournaments in addition to the US$60,000 for this year’s event.
