50 hectares of land allocated to develop medical work

Update: 29-07-2022 | 11:49:47

The province’s delegation has just conducted a survey on the location for construction of a last-line general hospital. Accordingly, the province has allocated an area of 50 hectares to develop medical work, including 20 hectares for construction of the hospital and 30 hectares for construction of a health university in the Bau Bang urban- commercial and industrial area. Provincial Department of Planning and Investment will coordinate with other departments and sectors to discuss a number of relevant contents about the unit in charge of project development, the legality of the land and the source of capital for implementation. Provincial Department of Health has reported the progress of the project to the Ministry of Health for coordination in implementation.

According to the health sector, this is a major policy, which needs agreement from the Ministry of Health and provincial People's Committee to establish an agency in charge of drafting the project, allocating capital and putting forward methods for implementation. The feasible option is that provincial People's Committee allocates land while the Ministry of Health directs central-level hospitals to be the units to set up the project to build and operate the hospital. Currently, the province’s health sector is further strengthening the work of attracting high-quality human resources for medical facilities in the province and identifies this as the future resource for the last-line general hospital. However, in order to secure a part of human resources for the operations of the hospital, it is necessary to get support from leading experts from central hospitals.
