A 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental province in the southern Philippines on September 29.
The epicentre was at a depth of 89km, about 84 km southeast of Pundaguitain.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) first said the quake was at 6.1 magnitude.
Due to the quake occurred near the border of Indonesia and the Philippines, people in North Sulawesi province of central Indonesia felt the shake.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
On September 26, a 6.5-magnitude quake hit Maluku province, eastern Indonesia, killing at least 30 people and injured 156 others.
