600 athletes attend 2016 Phu Giao cross-country run

Phu Giao district’s Center for Culture-Information and Sports has just organized the 2016 cross-country run to mark the 70^th anniversary of Vietnamese Sports Day (Mar.27, 1946-Mar.27, 2016).

This year’s tournament absorbed 600 athletes who competed in 2km, 3km, 4km and 5km-events. As a result, the organizing board of the tournament awarded first, second, third and consolation prizes to outstanding athletes.

In the framework of activities celebrating the 70^th anniversary of Vietnamese Sports Day, the center also held a get-together with folk games for the sector’s staff while preparing 60 photos about the local sports activities to display at a ceremony to mark the event to be held by provincial Department of Culture-Sports and Tourism on Mar.24 ahead.
