600 gifts donated to disadvantaged people

Early May 18, provincial Red Cross Society in collaboration with provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Charity Board donated 600 gifts to the local poor, handicapped, blind and lonely elderly people (photo).

It is known that each gift includes 10 kg of rice, a box of instant noodle, some other essential commodities together with VND100,000 in cash. The charity program has a total expense of VND300,000 million, funded by provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Charity Board. This is one of practical activities done by provincial Red Cross Society in response to the Humanitarian Month and in celebration of Lord Buddha’s 2563^rd birthday anniversary.
