72 candidates announced delegates to the 10th Binh Duong provincial People's Council in 2021-2026 tenure

* Over 25% voted delegates to Bau Bang district People's Committee are females

In the afternoon of May 27, Binh Duong provincial Election Commission issued Resolution 132/NQ-UBBC on announcing the election results and the list of elected candidates for the 10^th term of Binh Duong provincial People's Council for 2021- 2026 tenure. According to the published list, the whole province has 72 delegates of the provincial People's Council elected out of a total of 119 candidates (the list is published in the supplement of this news issue).

According to the provincial Election Commission, the election in the province took place successfully. In many localities in the province, voters have been eager and excited to go to the polls, showing high spirit and responsibility in using their votes to choose people with enough virtue and talent to enter the National Assembly Delegation and People's Councils at all levels. Voters of 1,100 polling stations in the province have safely exercised their ownership rights while ensuring strict implementation of Covid-19 prevention and control measures according to the "5K" message of Ministry of Health in the election.

The candidates elected as members of the People's Council of Binh Duong province in the 10^th tenure have good quality, intelligence, professional capacity, and experience in their profession. The action program shows the determination to dedicate and serve the legitimate interests of the people and closely adhere to their positions and responsibilities associated with the development of the locality.

* In the afternoon of May 27, the Election Steering Committee of Bau Bang district held a meeting to listen to the district Election Commission’s report on the results of the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly Delegation and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure. The results show that, Bau Bang district belonged to constituency number 4 of Binh Duong province to have 5 candidates for National Assembly Delegation and 3 delegates elected. As a result, 3 members of the National Assembly Delegation were elected. At the provincial level, Bau Bang district belonged to constituency number 16; there were 5 candidates and 3 delegates elected. As a result, all 3 members of the provincial Council were elected.

Regarding the election results of district-level People's Council deputies, the total number of elected district-level People's Council deputies is 31 deputies, the number of elected candidates is 31 including 8 women (25% of female); candidates under 40 years old are 8 (more than 25%). As for the election results of commune-level People's Council deputies, the total number of elected commune-level People's Council deputies is 194 deputies, the number of elected candidates is 194 including 45 women (more than 23% of females); deputies for the term before re-election were 103 out of 194 people (more than 59%). The district Election Commission assessed that the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly Delegation and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term in Bau Bang district took place successfully. The election was conducted in a synchronous, democratic, lawful, safe and economical manner to elect qualified delegates in sufficient number and reasonable structure; voter turnout rate reached 99.6%. At the same time, the election was also carefully prepared in accordance with regulations to deploy synchronously, on schedule, according to the general plan and ensure the correct processes and procedures according to the laws.
