Yesterday morning (November 10), the 2024 Great National Unity Festival was grandly held in Phu An commune’s Phu Thuan hamlet in Ben Cat city, in attendance of Nguyen Minh Triet, former Politburo member and former State President; Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; Nguyen Van Loc, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Council along with leaders from provincial departments, Ben Cat city, Phu An commune, Phu Thuan hamlet’s officials, Party members and residents.
Promoting the strength of great solidarity
Throughout 2024, Phu Thuan hamlet successfully implemented the model new-style rural development program and the campaign of “All people uniting to build civilized urban and new-style rural areas”. During the event, leaders of Phu Thuan hamet presented the hamlet’s customary agreements and launched a competitive movement for the local development. In addition, residents discussed the local achievements and shortcomings in 2024 and contributed ideas to objectives and tasks for 2025.

In his speech at the 2024 Great National Unity Festival in Phu Thuan hamlet, Mr. Loi spoke highly of achievements done by the hamlet’s officials and residents in 2024. He also informed delegates of the province's socio-economic development situation as well as its efforts in building Party and strengthening the local political system throughout the year. Provincial Party Committee Secretary affirmed that the province's development achievements over the past time came from the strength of unity and the consensus of the people.
Provincial Party Committee Secretary requested officials and residents of Phu Thuan hamlet to further foster the spirit of great unity to overcome challenges and difficulties; further promote grassroots democracy by ensuring that “the people know, the people discuss, the people monitor and supervise, the people benefit”; show strong determination in making digital transformation and building digital citizens; maintain security and order, contributing to building a pure and strong Party and political system. Notably, as local Party cells and committees hold their upcoming congresses, provincial Party Committee Secretary emphasized that the process of drafting resolutions should reflect the alignment between the Party’s vision and the people's will, addressing the thoughts and aspirations of the people to effectively focus leadership efforts on achieving the set goals and tasks.

Yesterday morning (November 10), Tan Phu 1 quarter in Di An city’s Tan Binh ward also held the 2024 Great National Unity Festival. The event was attended by Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Tran Thi Hong Hanh, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee as well as leaders from Di An city and Tan Binh ward.

Tan Phu 1 quarter comprises of 3,900 households with 12,000 people. In 2024, the quarter achieved notable results. The campaign of “All People uniting to build civilized urban areas” in association with the local emulation movements, was widely implemented and received strong support from residents. The quarter’s Front Work Board, along with various associations, provided assistance to the poor by facilitating 158 families in obtaining over VND 9.9 billion in loans from the Bank for Social Policies, along with interest-free loans from the “For Poor Women” fund and the “Farmer Support” fund. Additionally, the quarter mobilized donors to offer gifts to the poor, lonely elderly and individuals with severe illnesses during great holidays and Tet, totaling VND 56 million. Residents also voluntarily contributed funds to concreting a 120-meter road, costing VND 120 million; mobilized repair on some roads for nearly VND 20 million; installed seven lighting systems…
Speaking at the festival, Mr. Minh praised Tan Phu 1 quarter for its efforts and achievements while encouraging the quarter to continue fostering the spirit of unity and creativity to develop a civilized, modern and affectionate locality… On this occasion, provincial leaders presented 10 gifts worth VND 1 million each. Di An city contributed additional 10 gifts worth VND500,000 while local donors donated 20 gifts worth VND 1 million to households with difficult circumstances. Tan Binh ward also awarded groups and individuals who made positive contributions to the 2024 “All people uniting to build a cultural lifestyle” movement.
On the morning of the same day, quarter 5 in Thu Dau Mot city’s Hiep Thanh ward held the 2024 Great National Unity Festival, in attendance of Nguyen Thi My Hang, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Internal Affairs Department. In 2024, the campaign of “All people uniting to build civilized urban and new-style areas” saw positive changes in the quarter with all criteria being implemented in a serious and synchronous way. The material and spiritual lives of residents were improved, and neighborly relationships, along with community spirit and mutual support were strengthened. In the quarter, there were 990 households achieving the title of “Cultural Family” or 99% of total; all 23 lodging facilities with the title of “Cultural lodging facility” and the quarter was recognized as the cultural one for 2024.
