Reports of a conference summing up health insurance in the whole population in 2009 of Ben Cat District showed that 9,250 people in 15 villages and towns have participated in voluntary health insurance. The number out-scored the projected targets at 122.2% of provincial level. In the whole district, 33 of 38 schools have seen 20,982 students pay for voluntary health insurance. The payments are 30% supported by State’s budget.

 

Law of Health Insurance came into effect in the year and practically enhanced awareness of health insurance in schools, sectors, and parents while quality of healthcare has been improved to build up trust.
