Activities of sand exploiting, trading and transporting in Dau Tieng Lake to be suspended

Morning May 2, Mai Hung Dung, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting to approve reports of Department of Natural Resources and Environment and relevant departments, agencies on inspecting and handling activities of sand trade, transportation, exploitation in Dau Tieng Lake area.

At the meeting, after listening to reports of Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Transport, and Public Security on the inspection and reorganization of sand exploiting activities in Dau Tieng Lake recently, Mr. Dung directed departments and agencies to immediately suspend activities of exploration, exploitation, trading and transport of sand in Dau Tieng Lake. Mr. Dung also asked local agencies to strengthen inspection and supervision to prevent the occurrence of sand business, transportation and exploitation activities in Dau Tieng area during the suspension period.

Previously, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh signed document No. 4700 / VPCP on 21 May 2018 to request People's Committees of neighboring provinces of Dau Tieng Lake to carry out the inspection and rectify activities of sand exploiting, trading and transporting in this area.
