Aid relief to OVs caught in Cambodian floods

Vietnamese businesses have presented gifts to Vietnamese residents who are natural disaster-hit victims. More than 5,400 overseas Vietnamese families in Kompong Cham, Kratie, Ta Keo, Kandal provinces and Phnom Penh City have been affected by recent flooding, dozens of families lost their houses caused by landslides. A representative from the Bank for Industry and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) branch in Cambodia and leaders of the Overseas Vietnamese General Association on October 19 provided 500 aid gifts of rice, and instant noodles for affected residents. Pham Van Man, Deputy Head of the OV Association in Meanchey district, Phnom Penh said more than 300 houses and a school for Vietnamese children have now been submerged by flood water. On the same day, other companies such as Thien Long Pen Company, and Angkor Tours also offered relief aids to OVs who were affected by flooding in Pursa, north-west of Cambodia. VOV
