Over 80 musicians from ten ASEAN member countries will join the first-ever ASEAN symphony orchestra to perform in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in celebration of the forthcoming 17th ASEAN Summit in Vietnam.
The orchestra will hold a performance in Ho Chi Minh City on October 26th and at the National Convention Center in Hanoi on October 29th.
Famous Japanese conductor Yoshikazu Fukumura will lead the orchestra during the performance.
The concert is a new cultural event for ASEAN nations, and the audience will enjoy a top quality professional programme.
The concert also marks the start of the tour around ASEAN nations with the first performance scheduled for Brunei in 2011.
The information was released at a press briefing about the event held in Hanoi by the International Cooperation Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on October 25th.
