Bad information in cyberspace handled

Early July 29, Ben Cat town’s Party Committee held a conference to review the work of protecting the Party’s ideological foundation, fighting against false and hostile views and ensuring the local security-order in the first 6 months of 2022.

Over the past time, the town’s Steering Committee on protecting the Party’s ideological foundation, fighting against false and hostile views and ensuring security-order (briefly called the Steering Committee 35) advised the town’s Party Committee and People's Committee on effectively implementing the task of protecting the Party’s ideological foundation, fighting against with bad information in cyberspace, promptly orienting public opinion before events and issues that attract people's attention. This created cadres, Party members and people’s consensus in the implementation of the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, contributing to maintaining the local political stability and security-order.

In the first 6 months of 2022, the town’s Steering Committee 35 and functional forces participated in 60 fights with over 150 accounts posting and sharing articles with bad contents, causing confusion in public opinion and affecting the local security-order. Members of the town's Steering Committee 35 also established information pages on social networks, namely Ben Cat town’s Police, Ben Cat hometown...to be proactive in orienting public opinion. After a period of operation, these Facebook pages have become the local official information channels.
