After more than 6 years of establishment, Bau Bang district has had a perfect infrastructure system. The district’s investment in traffic infrastructure, development of industrial parks, residential areas, social housing areas have not only met the local demand for socio-economic development, but also created a new urban image, striving to become an urban and industrial hub of the province.
New urban image
The district’s technical infrastructure works have practically served the local targets on socio-economic development. So far, the district has fulfilled its target on new-style rural construction.
According to Vo Thanh Giau, Chairman of the district’s People’s Committee, the district will further mobilize all resources to build up a modern and synchronous infrastructure system for the 2021-2025 period in association with industrial-service and urban development; give priority to key works, namely the belt street of Bau Bang industrial park-DT749A street; North Tan Uyen-Phu Giao-Bau Bang street; the district’s administrative center, schools, streets connecting with highway 13, Ben Cat-Bau Bang main street…They are breakthrough tasks for successful development, creating great advances on the local socio-economic development.
Breakthrough by science-technology
So far, Bau Bang urban-industrial park’s infrastructure system has been perfected. Tan Binh industrial park of more than 95 hectares has also been put into operation. The district has also developed additional 2 industrial parks, namely Lai Hung of 600 hectares and Cay Truong of 700 hectares. Currently, there are 7 residential areas in the Bau Bang urban-industrial park with a total area of 1,160 hectares.
The district also has 25 housing areas approved by provincial People’s Committee with a total area of more than 451 hectares. In addition, the district has implemented a social housing project with more than 31,080 rooms, supplying accommodations for more than 93,200 workers.
Mr.Giau said that with the goal of developing Bau Bang into an urban-industrial hub in the northern region of the province towards a new height, the province has had a plan to build a science and hi-tech industrial park (STIP) in Bau Bang district, aiming to create a breakthrough for the local industrial manufacture.
The STIP will also cover research and development, and experiments in science and technology. It will offer a connection between institutes and enterprises throughout Vietnam and the world, eventually becoming an education centre attracting high-tech human resources, and providing studies, research activities, and tech transfer…
With achievements done plus the set targets, it is believed that the district will gain vigorous development in the next years.
