Bau Bang: Motivation for new success

Upholding achievements done, Bau Bang district’s Party, army and people last year continued making solidarity, being flexible and creative to build up a civilized, prosperous locality towards an industrial-urban hub in the northern region of the province under the Resolution of the local Party congress for the 2015-2020 tenure.

Bau Bau district, as of October 31, 2018, absorbed 118 newly-registered projects and 20 extra-ones with total registered capital of more than VND853billion and US$188million. The whole district has so far lured 716 investment projects, comprising of 603 domestic projects with total registered capital of more than VND25.8trillion and 113 FDI ones with total registered capital of US$2.5billion. In 2018, the district’s economy reached high growth in 3 fields: industrial manufacture, agricultural production and services. The district’s industrial production value gained nearly VND14trillion, up 21.67% compared to 2017.

Along with economic development, the district has always attached special importance to ensuring social welfare, taking good care of revolutionary contributors and those with difficult circumstances. Last year, the district built and upgraded 10 “great unity” houses while putting forward solutions to support people to escape poverty…As of October, 2018, the whole district only had 186 poor households under the province’s poverty line or 1.13% of total. The spiritual and material lives of the local people were improved with cultural and sports activities organized. Especially, on the occasion of the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2019, many cultural-sports activities were organized, bringing a joyful atmosphere to locals.

Nguyen Huu Chi, Secretary of Bau Bang district’s Party Committee said that the heroic tradition of the nation is a driving force for the district’s Party, government and people to have firm paces on the way of industrialization and modernization. After nearly 5 years of establishment, the district surmounted initial difficulties and achieved many important results. The district’s socio-economic situation has so far continued gaining stable growth with an economic structure towards industry-trade, services and agriculture. The district is now also a bright spot in investment attraction of the province.

He added that the district has given supplementary planning and set up annual plans on investment capital, land, infrastructure development, human resources, market development, environmental protection, administrative reform, investment attraction to be able to obtain a goal of soon becoming an industrial-urban hub of the province.

The district has also focused on main infrastructure development at requirements of industrialization, modernization in association with regional and local development; given priority to breakthrough investment projects. In addition, the district will mobilize all resources and use them effectively for infrastructure development; improve the effectiveness and efficiency of State management in terms of infrastructure investment…Especially, the district will further uphold the role of the whole political system, concentrating on fully tapping all resources to enhance the quality of new-style rural criteria.

With a new spring, the district’s Party, government and people are determined to build up a civilized, prosperous and beautiful locality towards an industrial-urban hub in the northern region of the province in the coming time.
