Early July 9, Bau Bang district’s Center for Culture-Information and Sports, Division of Education-Training and Youth Union co-held the first “Book propaganda and childhood” competition 2014.

The competition absorbed 11 teams with more than 100 pupils from 6 primary schools and 5 secondary schools in the district. They experienced 2 test parts: first part with participating teams’ introduction and their thoughts of homeland; second part with the content of telling stories for primary school pupils and the content of book introduction for secondary school pupils.

The competition aimed to raise the importance of reading and promote reading culture among the local pupils while creating an useful playground for them during the 2014 summer vacation. It also educated the local pupils about traditional values, national love, respect for grandparents, parents and teachers, especially late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals.
