Update: 03-07-2014 | 00:00:00

Together with the whole country towards Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes, provincial Center for Culture and Movie has just kicked off an exhibition on “Dao la nha, bien la que huong” (Island is home-Sea is homeland).

Local visitors at the exhibition

Coming to the exhibition, the local people will have a chance to enjoy 62 propaganda pictures of 60x80cm, 2 large-scale maps of 120x240cm, including “Hoang trieu truc tinh dia du toan do” (Map of all Chinese provinces published in 1904 by China’s Qing dynasty) and “An Nam dai quoc hoa do” (a map of the great empire of An Nam, 1838), together with 4 maps on “Dai Nam nhat thong toan do” (an 1834 map of Vietnam from the Minh Mang King era) and “Cac dai khi tuong Dong Duong” (Map of Indochinese weather stations).

This is part of the province’s propaganda activities to raise public awareness of the role and strategic position of national islands and sea; affirm national sovereignty over islands and sea.

The exhibition will last until late July 2014.
