Charming with “Ao dai”
Possibly speaking, along with women across the country, Binh Duong women have responded very positively to the “Vietnam Ao dai Week”. It is not difficult for us to see the charming image of Ao Dai on the mass media and social networking sites with "blooming flowers" during the past week. This is because almost all units have deployed to each staff to choose Ao Dai as a costume when going to work, attending festivals, etc.
The “Vietnam Ao Dai Week” also aims at propagandizing and educating the proud tradition of Vietnamese women, honoring great contributions by the generations of women to the cause of national liberation and revolution, the gentle beauty of Vietnamese women through wearing traditional Ao Dai. The week of wearing Ao Dai is welcomed by women when going to work, participating in events and conferences. Information about the week of wearing Ao Dai has continuously sent to the Propaganda Board of provincial Women's Union, communication channels, social networking sites and it has promptly propagandized and spread the beautiful images of Vietnamese women.
According to Truong Thanh Nga, through many changes of history and cultural acculturation, today Ao Dai is still a formal traditional costume for important ceremonial occasions of the family, clan, community or national holidays. Ao dai worn by women is increasingly popular in schools, offices and businesses; in important national events, on international forums.
In the first week of this March, it is possible to mention the outstanding activities of women in the province, such as: Online photo contest of beautiful moments, beautiful ao dai, sunny smile, pride of Di An women; contest for beautiful, talented and graceful women in Thu land; program on exchanging “Ao Dai” for green trees...
Also on this occasion, provincial Women’s Union at all levels, officials and members actively responded and participated in the movement of giving “Ao Dai” for disadvantaged women with the quantity of 1,113 sets of white “Ao Dai” for schoolgirls and 113 sets of “Ao Dai” for female civil servants and employees.
