In addition, charitable and social welfare activities were maintained and carried out with increasing effectiveness. Notably, provincial Women’s Unions at all levels continued sponsoring all orphans affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and supported 119 children orphaned, due to other causes. They also developed plans to assist 2,696 poor and near-poor households in accessing loans, technical skills, knowledge and experience in production and business activities.
*On the same morning, provincial Women's Union held an open Executive Committee meeting to elect additional members to the Executive Committee and a Vice Chairwoman for the 2021–2026 term. All delegates in attendance unanimously elected three additional members to the Executive Committee and appointed Pham Thi Hong Van, Head of the Organization and Administration Division of provincial Women's Union, as Vice Chairwoman of the 11th provincial Women’s Union for the 2021–2026 tenure.
