Emulation in association with key tasks

Nguyen Thi Yen is known as an exemplary role-model in the patriotic emulation movement of Ben Cat town’s Women’s Union in the 2010-2015 period. She was born and grew up in An Dien. In 1995, she got married and faced difficulties. She and her husband also managed to open 5 chicken farms under industrial formula and failed to develop the model. But, they were not discouraged and made efforts in researching and applying sci-tech advancements into animal husbandry for higher economic efficiency.

A competition on “Women with the law” was organized by Ben Cat town’s Women’s Union to raise members’ awareness of the law

After 10 years of development, her farm has so far included 17,000 chickens, 100 buffaloes and 29 hectares of rubber trees, generating jobs for 50 local laborers. On average, it brings her family the annual revenue of nearly VND3bln.

With stable economic conditions, she has actively got involved in social charity activities such as offering help in terms of capital, nurslings…to needy members, presenting gifts to women and children with difficult circumstances. She was also present in the trips giving gifts for poor children in border areas organized by the local Women’s Union over the past time.

Nguyen Thi Anh Diep, Vice-Chairman of Ben Cat town’s Women’s Union said that the local Women’s Union has regularly improved patriotic emulation movements in both content and form, which are closely linked with the local targets on socio-economic development and movements, namely “Women with two good things”, “All people consolidate to build cultural lifestyle in residential areas”, “Paying debt of gratitude”…

Over the past time, the local Women’s Union also helped members get loans for economic development, introduced jobs for them, made law dissemination among them, gave prominence to the role of Vietnamese women’s role in the national industrialization and modernization process…
