On May 15, 2024, Chairman of provincial People's Committee signed and issued Plan No. 2363/KH-UBND on the development of e-commerce in Binh Duong province for 2024.
"The plan aims at implementing solutions to support and promote the widespread application of e-commerce among businesses and the community in the province; boosting cross-border e-commerce transactions and supporting businesses in strengthening exports, expanding the consumption market for key industrial products, agricultural products, food, and OCOP products in the province.
Additionally, it aims at intensifying and specialized supervision and inspection activities in the field of e-commerce and handling administrative violations. Understanding the development situation of e-commerce as a basis for implementing policies and enforcing laws on e-commerce in the province.
The plan includes 14 key tasks and 20 specific tasks assigned to departments, agencies, the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities, provincial Steering Committee 389, industries’associations and businesses in the province for implementation.
The key tasks assigned to provincial Department of Industry and Trade by provincial People's Committee are as follows:
-Coordinate with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, relevant agencies to implement events that promote e-commerce activities in the province (Online Friday Shopping Day) and other events as requested by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Coordinate with relevant departments, agencies and units to strengthen the implementation of promotional programs: promoting the image of fairs, exhibitions, seminars, trade exchanges and business connections in the online environment.
-Support businesses in production and trade to access e-commerce activities; select capable businesses to connect and bring products to domestic and international e-commerce platforms, participate in the "Vietnamese Booth" program on e-commerce platforms; organize training on e-commerce skills and online import-export for businesses in the province.
-Coordinate with large, reputable e-commerce platforms (Voso, Postmart, Sendo, Shopee, Lazada, Tiki, etc.) to organize events, conferences and seminars that connect and support cooperatives, businesses and individuals in opening stores on e-commerce platforms to expand consumption markets for agricultural products, handicrafts, OCOP products and consumer goods.
-Coordinate with e-commerce retail/wholesale systems: Amazon Global Selling, Google, Alibaba, etc., to organize e-commerce connection events combined with product display areas, creating opportunities for businesses to access international e-commerce platforms to support and promote export of goods.
-Proactively review websites/applications to promptly detect and address violations of e-commerce regulations. Coordinate with the Market Management Department to inspect the e-commerce activities of individuals/organizations in the locality.
- Coordinate with the Department of E-Commerce and Digital Economy under the Ministry of Industry and Trade to manage the database of organizations and individuals with e-commerce in the province who have fulfilled their registration/notification obligations as stipulated at http://online.gov.vn; organize training for officials who are in charge of State management on e-commerce, including overview and task on handling e-commerce violations.
