Binh Duong Provincial Association of Friendly Societies agree upon major matters

January 19, Binh Duong Provincial Association of Friendly Societies (AFS) held a meeting to agree upon major operational matters for the time to come. Attending the meeting was Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, Member of Standing Board of Party Committee and Deputy Chair of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee.

At the meeting, AFS agreed upon election of chair and deputy chairs among its members. Accordingly, Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, Member of Standing Board of Party Committee and Deputy Chair of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee, was elected as AFS Chair, Mrs. Tran Thi Kim Van, Head of Economics and Budget Committee of People’s Council elected as Deputy Chair. The delegates agreed upon agenda for AFS congress by the end of Q1 of 2015.

Since its establishment, AFS have been directed to key duties including diplomat information, public exchange, sponsorship, public cooperation, and public information correction in fields of democracy, human rights, and protection of the Party’s doctrine. Concurrently, AFS boosted introduction of Vietnamese nation and people as well as local needs of international cooperation in a bid to contribute to public relation with other nations for the best benefits during the global integration stage.
