Binh Duong ready for Karate Tournament of local clubs

From July 15 to 16, the Karate Tournament of Binh Duong provincial clubs in 2023 will officially start at Aeon Mall in Thuan An city. The tournament is organized to continue responding to the campaign of "All people exercising to follow the President Ho Chi Minh’s example" for 2021-2023 and towards the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (1973-2023).

The competition results of the Binh Duong Karate team in the past time will be an inspiration for young athletes to compete at the provincial club tournament in 2023.

It is known that the 2023 season will have two age groups participating in the competition, up to 14 years old and over 15 years old. The athletes will compete in individual Kumite for men, women and men's and women's teams in weight classes from 40kg to over 65kg. After the tournament, potential athletes with high achievements will be selected for further training to be ready for the national tournaments in the future. Recently, the Binh Duong Karate team won 5 gold medals at the 2023 national youth tournament and finished 7th overall.
