Thanks to the attention of the Party and State, Binh Duong’s socio-economic performance has reached good results in recent years. This has also helped the province’s photographic movement get thriving. 

Five photographers who are members of Binh Duong Literature and Fine Arts Association winning prizes at the 2013 Binh Duong Artistic Photo Competition on Traffic Safety

Binh Duong Photographers Club under Binh Duong Literature and Fine Arts Association was established in 1986. In recent years, the local photography has seen many signs of thriving. There has been an increase in the number of hi-quality photos sorted out to attend the regional artistic photo exhibitions. Some local photographers have been recognized as excellent photographic artists by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA) and won national and international prizes.

Currently, Binh Duong has 5 photographic artists who are members of the VAPA. So far, Binh Duong Photographers Club has worked effectively with 30 members. This has made the local photographic movement get a strong development.

Many long or short-term composing camps are organized annually by Binh Duong Literature and Fine Art Association to nurture the local photographic movement towards sustainable development.

Binh Duong Literature and Fine Art Association also regularly organizes competitions on artistic photos on great holidays under the support of the VAPA, contributing to improving the quality of the local artistic photos.

Photographic artist Bui Vy Van, Deputy Head of Binh Duong Photographers Club said: “2014 is the year with many events pertaining to the photographic sector, so members of the club are very eager to work with the determination of upholding achievements done to enhance the position of Binh Duong in the photographic movement of Vietnam...”.

Since early this year, three photographers of Binh Duong, namely Ngo Cong Hoang, Tran Cong and Bui Vy Van, have attended and received silver, bronze medals at the 2013 international artistic photo competition for a “Green Environment”. Bui Vy Van has also won 2 gold medals at the 2013 Han Pijesak international artistic photo contest in Bosnia and a gold medal at the 2013 Animakl international artistic photo contest...
