Binh Duong’s students volunteer for social welfare

In recent years, Binh Duong province’s pupil-student movement has seen positive changes, especially since provincial Students’ Association and its affiliates established…   They are students winning “five good” title at central, provincial levels and “January Star” award

Making efforts in learning

Many outstanding pupils and students were honored at a ceremony to mark the 62nd anniversary of the Traditional day of Vietnamese students and pupils.

Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, vice secretary of provincial Youth Union Students’ Association cum chairwoman of provincial Students’ Associations said that since being established, provincial Students’ Association has organized many learning and entertainment programs in association with the campaigns of “Vietnamese youth study and follow Uncle Ho’s teachings”, “Say no to fraud in examination and disease of chasing academic achievement”, “Friendly school, positive pupil”, “Lightening the dream of Vietnamese youth”…, contributing to promoting the development of the intellectual staff.

Activities for the sake of the community

Binh Duong province’s pupils and students have also actively got involved in activities for the sake of the community.

Especially, in the 2010 and 2011 academic year, the local students organized a program of “Giving strength in exam season” with provincial-level squad of 50 students and school-level squad of 150 students, aiming to support candidates in the entrance examinations to universities and colleges in 2011.

Provincial Students’ Association also cooperated with the Center for Youth Activities to seek more than 500 lodging addresses with cheap prices for candidates; mobilized organizations and individuals to sponsor 100 shirts, hats, 50 simcards and 150 pairs of shoes for volunteers who joined the program.

In the last academic year, students across the province gave 368,100ml blood. They also shared difficulties with flood-hit people in the central region…
