Today (December 27), at the Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center (Binh Duong New City), Binh Duong People's Committee cooperates with Vietnam National Administration of Tourism to organize the "Binh Duong Tourism - Advanced competitiveness, towards sustainable development.” 6 speeches of the units presented at the workshop as well as the comments all aim to find a new, appropriate and worthy way to develop the provincial tourism.

To find new directions for Binh Duong tourism

Finding a new way to help Binh Duong tourism develop is always a concern of the Party and government leaders in recent years. Our tourism potential is huge with the advantage of a province with a long tradition of traditional villages, red addresses, cultural-historical tourist sites, religious architecture, ancient houses. We manage and exploit these tourist sites well, images of Binh Duong will be promoted more widely.

According to Mr. Nguyen Khoa Hai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VH-TT & DL), the workshop is one of the activities that have a positive meaning to help the provincial tourism improve the competitiveness and development. . This is also the activity of implementing Politburo Resolution No. 08-NQ/TW dated January 16, 2017 on tourism development to become a spearhead economic sector, step by step improving the competitiveness and bringing the industry tourism development in the future. The workshop was attended by nearly 200 delegates who are scientists, managers, businesses providing tourism services inside and outside the province. The workshop focused on discussing, analyzing and evaluating the current situation and potential of Binh Duong tourism. At the same time, on the basis of analyzing the potentials and advantages as well as the actual limitations to propose the most feasible proposals, orientations and solutions to bring into play the advantages and potentials of the existing strengths of tourism in Binh Duong in the future.

At this conference, Mr. Nguyen Quy Phuong, Director of the Department of Tourism - the General Department of Tourism also talked about solutions to strengthen links and cooperation in tourism development in Binh Duong with Ho Chi Minh City and Eastern provinces in Southwest region. A good thing is that the delegates of Binh Duong have made the speeches directly linked with traditional villages, culture, beliefs of the people of the province. Dr. Luong Thy Can (Thu Dau Mot University, Binh Duong) talked about the organization and development of traditional craft villages to combine tourism (studying Tuong Binh Hiep lacquer village and Tan Phuoc Khanh pottery village). Accordingly, the traditional trade village is one of the unique products of modern tourism, not only helping the locality increase its budget revenue, creating jobs for local workers but also contributing to preserving and promoting. cultural values, creating an attractive tourism environment, improving infrastructure and protecting the ecological environment. By qualitative analysis method based on the published data, combined with the actual results of fieldwork at the routes, tourist destinations of Binh Duong, the article summarizes the real situation of traditional villages in Binh Duong, thereby analyzing and suggesting some solutions to organize and develop traditional craft villages in combination with tourism in the province.

As for Ph.D. Cao Viet Hieu (Binh Duong University), the topic: Some comments and suggestions on the orientation and solutions to develop tourism products in Binh Duong province are also very practical. According to Dr. Cao Viet Hieu, Binh Duong is a province located in the southern key economic region, being one of the 7 key tourist areas of the country. In recent years, although the contribution to the economy is still low, tourism in Binh Duong is increasingly asserted to have a lot of development potentials to become an important and well-positioned part. worthy in the provincial socio-economic development strategy. In the development orientation until 2020, the province has determined that "Building a tourism industry to become an economic sector has contributed significantly to economic growth."
