Binh Duong triad in Vietnamese U19 squad

After one year of supplementing youths to the squad, Binh Duong young footballers have gained the first fruits. The names of Viet Cuong, Thien Duc, and Minh Khoa in U19 squad of Vietnam represent the young footballing of Thu Dau Mot.

Of the triad, Nguyen Tran Viet Cuong and Nguyen Hung Thien Duc won the main position of Vietnamese U19 squad at U21 International Tournament 2017 of Thanh Nien Newspaper. Under the leadership of Coach Tran Minh Chien of Becamex Binh Duong, the two players showed off their considerable improvement day by day and match by match. Accordingly, Viet Cuong also won the main position in the attack line of Vietnamese U19 squad to hold Myanmar U21 1-1 and be defeated by Yokohama U21 1-3. In the position of forwarder, born in 2000, Viet Cuong is able to create gaps for co-players to make good use of scoring chances.

As far as experience is concerned, Viet Cuong is the only one to help Becamex Binh Duong sustain V-League and National Cup under leadership of Tran Binh Su, Viet Cuong has been twice performed well. Besides, Viet Cuong has shown up most in U19 squad of Vietnam. He is currently playing for U16 and U18 of Coach Dinh The Nam and Hoang Anh Tuan. At his 17s, he was 175cm high and 68kg weigh, Viet Cuong shall be growing in terms of strength and physical build in the future.

Left-winged Defender Nguyen Hung Thien Duc, born in 1999, has almost the duplicate of Hoang Vuong, the famous player of 2007 and 2008 in Binh Duong. Thien Duc is notable for his left leg of strength for defending and offensive decisions evaluated as comprehensive by Coach Tran Minh Chien.

Although Thien Duc was firstly called up for U19 squad, he was the main player of Binh Duong to replace Quang Vinh and Xuan Kien. One year early, the left-winged defender was playing in An Giang in lending contract at the second division National Cup.

Of the youngest, Minh Khoa, born in 2001 has become preserved players for Binh Duong.

Talking about his 3 players at U19 squad, Coach Tranh Minh Chien said: “Viet Cuong is experienced at V-League; thus, I shall get him for the next season. Thien Duc needs more time to grow up and I shall offer him chances to play in the starting squad. As for Minh Khoa, he needs more experience at tournaments for youngsters.”
