Bringing warm spring to disadvantaged people

In response to the "Tet of Kindness - Spring of the Year of Dragon 2024" movement, provincial Fatherland Front Committee, on January 27, coordinated with the Red Cross Society of Tan Dong Hiep ward in Di An city to organize a "zero-dong” market for the local people with difficult circumstances.

Accordingly, the program gave 200 gifts worth VND 700,000, including rice, confectionary and other necessities, for disadvantaged people.

Also on January 27, the Red Cross Society of An Binh ward in Di An city held a ceremony to hand over a “Red Cross” house to a disadvantaged household in Tinh Bien district’s Nhon Hung ward in the Mekong Delta province of An Giang.

From contributions, the society supported VND 80 million to construction of the house for Tran Thi Kim Luon's family. Receiving the handover of a new house to live on the days near the Tet festival 2024 was the warmest happiness of Luong's family, helping her family welcome a warmer, more complete Tet.

On the same day, Dau Tieng district’s Red Cross Society coordinated with relevant unit to organize the "Tet of Kindness" program for disadvantaged people at Dau Tieng reservoir rafting village in Minh Hoa commune.

The program offered 100 gifts to poor people with a total value of VND 45 million, funded by provincial International Buddhist Board, pagodas in the district and donors.
