Building disease-free zone on poultry towards export

Currently, Binh Duong is one of the country’s leading localities in implementing the construction of a disease-free zone on poultry for export.

Accordingly, in 2018, the province was Vietnam’s first locality with 4 breeding areas, namely Bau Bang, Phu Giao, Dau Tieng and North Tan Uyen districts, recognized as ones free from avian influenza and Newcastle diseases by the Department of Animal Health. By 2020, the province will continue having one more breeding area being Ben Cat town recognized as an avian influenza -free area by the Department of Animal Health. So far, the number of areas and establishments that are free from diseases in poultry has been 192. Of these, there are 140 farms, accounting for 79.5% of the province’s total number of hi-tech chicken and duck farms.
