Businesses are eager to start production at the beginning of new year

In the early days of the Lunar New Year 2022, the atmosphere at most enterprises in the province was thrilling. Enterprises show determination and efforts right from the first days and the desire to achieve new successes.

Large numbers of orders

After the Lunar New Year holiday, enterprises started up a new year with an exciting atmosphere to look forward to a thriving year. Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park 1 (VSIP 1) welcomed a large number of workers returning to factories. Some businesses organized Covid-19 testing or body temperature checks to ensure disease safety before workers came to work.

At Esquel Garment Manufacturing Vietnam Company (VSIP 1), the working atmosphere these days at many divisions of the company was bustling to ensure the fulfilling progress of orders for partners. Nguyen Minh Tam, production director of the company, said that in 2021, despite some difficulties due to the pandemic, the company tried to take good care of the life and health of workers to ensure a safe working environment. In 2022, the number of orders has increased, from the beginning of the year, the company encouraged employees to return to work on time, ensure the delivery schedule for partners. A good news is that on the first days of new year, the number of employees coming to work was more than 80% of the total number of employees of the company. These are favorable conditions for the company to start a new year with a motivated spirit.

The working atmosphere was also energetic, showed great determination of all enterprises and production facilities in industrial zones and clusters in the province. At Gre Apha Electronics Company (VSIP 2), on the morning of February 7, production lines were operated at full capacity, ensured safe operation, efficient utilization of equipment and technology. Workers actively work to ensure on-time completion of products signed with major partners. In 2022, this enterprise expands and launches new products, hence it has its own goals and solutions to take advantage of opportunities and actively respond to market developments as well as the disease situation.

Truong Tri Truc Le, the company's HR Director, said: "In 2021, despite the impact of the Covid-19, with the efforts of the leadership and all employees, our organization maintained good production, business, job security and income for employees. In 2022, the company set up solutions to expand its consumption market, ensures the supply source of production materials, especially improves productivity, and strives to increase output and revenue compared to 2021. We have changes to adapt to the current tough conditions.”

In the morning of February 7, Phuoc Du Long Ceramic Company (Tan Uyen town) also started up production in the new spring. Vuong Sieu Tin, CEO of the company, said that in 2021, with effective solutions in management and governance, the company still fulfilled well the set targets. Overcoming many difficulties, staying strong after the Covid-19 pandemic, in the new year, with abundant orders, the ceramic industry is promoting its internal strength to stimulate development with an expectation that this Binh Duong's traditional manufacturing industry would further develop.

Vuong Sieu Tin, said: “We have gone through a time of many difficulties, especially at our factory in Tan Uyen Town, which is located in a strict social distancing and lockdown area to prevent control the disease. The company had to find ways to cope with disadvantages at the same time, such as labor shortage, raw material price increase, increased transportation cost, broken raw material supply chain... Besides, the company also had to prepare for "three-on-site production" for a long time. However, with the efforts of all employees, in 2021, the company still grew 20% in output over the same period last year. In 2022, the company decided to invest in modern production lines to offer good models and products. This year, new technologies will be put into production, bringing the enterprise into a new stage of development," said Vuong Sieu Tin about the journey ahead with a new spirit.

Human resources are valuable assets

Enterprises in the whole province in general and in industrial parks and clusters in particular are making efforts to boost production, create an abundant volume of products to serve domestic consumption and export demand right in the early days of the new year. According to Binh Duong Furniture Association (BIFA), most wood enterprises resumed operations after Tet from February 7. In 2022, wood industry continues to have more new orders, and the export market will also be more stable. However, many businesses worry that the labor market in Binh Duong would fluctuate, at the beginning of the year it is difficult to recruit enough workers for production.

“Up to now, all enterprises offer many regimes to retain employees. One of the factors to retain workers after Tet and soon stabilize production is the fact that enterprises have paid more attention to workers' live, workers' incomes have also increased significantly compared to before. Besides, enterprises also fully and seriously implement incentive regimes and policies for employees. We are determined to successfully implement the planned targets on production and business with a fairly and sustainable growth rate, considering laborers as a valuable asset of enterprises”, said Nguyen Liem, President of BIFA.

To manufacturing enterprises, the larger the scale, the higher the number of employees. Taking care of workers' lives is the solution that businesses in the province are implementing to encourage workers to make long-term commitment and dedicate more to the company. Truong Tri Truc Le said that she is proposing to raise the basic salary in order to improve workers' lives. “I am waiting for Directors Board to approve a new salary level for employees, encouraging employees' dedication to the company. In the current period, employees are considered a valuable asset that any business must preserve”, said Le.

In order for the business community to grow stronger and overcome difficulties, businesses hope to receive more encouragement and support from the authorities at all levels. Enterprises also want the government to create favorable conditions to connect with other provinces and cities to have more human resources to develop production.

No one wants the diseases and epidemics, but Covid-19 comes and prolongs, we have to find a way to stay active and develop."
