Update: 22-08-2012 | 00:00:00

The second Central Highland Cultural Days will be held at the Vietnam Exhibition Center for Culture and Arts in Hanoi from August 28 to September 2, announced the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on August 21.

Representatives from five Central Highland provinces, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Gia Lai, Kon Tum and Lam Dong, will participate in the event, which is one of the activities to mark the 67th anniversary of the August 1945 Revolution and National Day (September 2).

This year’s event, featuring the theme “Central Highlands – Cultural Colors”, will introduce the cultural identities of the region through Gong performances, traditional customs, and displays of traditional musical instruments, as well as ritual ceremonies, folk games, and an ethnic minority fashion show. It aims to promote the cultural values and preserve the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the Central Highlands.

The second Central Highland Cultural Days in Hanoi hopes to demonstrate strong solidarity among ethnic minority groups, and between them and Hanoians
