A Chinese delegation comprising 65 outstanding young people from 53 Chinese ethnic groups has been in Vietnam for one week taking part in cultural exchanges.
The closing ceremony of the Vietnam-China friendship cultural exchange took place in Hanoi on September 18 as part of activities to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
The Chinese delegation met with Ha Thi Khiet, Head of the Party’s Commission for Mass Mobilization, and paid visits to Thai Nguyen and Quang Ninh provinces as well as Hanoi.
During their stay in Vietnam, the Chinese youths and their Vietnamese counterparts shared experiences in educating and persuading young people and discussed the role of young people in nourishing the friendship between China and Vietnam.
A student from the China Central Ethnic University said they were greatly impressed by Vietnamese friends’ hospitality and happy to have a good chance to learn about Vietnam’s education and customs.
On behalf of Chinese young people, Wang Xianli thanked the Vietnamese government and people for the warm reception and friendliness, and reiterated the connection between the two nations.
The head of the event’s organizers, Hoang Xuan Luong, said that both Chinese and Vietnamese young people have been offered a good opportunity to learn from each other and propose ideas to promote cooperation for sustainable development in ethnic minority areas in both countries.
