Commitment signed to comply with inland waterway traffic laws

On the morning of March 22, representatives of the Inland Waterway Port Authority of Region 3 in Binh Duong coordinated with Traffic Police Department of Provincial Police to organize a ceremony for representatives of 25 inland waterway wharves and 1 port to sign a commitment to comply with inland waterway traffic law.

Accordingly, to strictly implement the direction of Provincial Police on ensuring order and safety of waterway traffic, inland waterway wharves commit to strictly comply with regulations, such as not dumping trash or waste into rivers; do not load goods onto vehicles beyond waterline marks; Fully equipped with rescue and fire prevention equipment according to regulations; operate ports and inland wharfs within the permitted water area; drivers of loading and unloading vehicles must have a professional certificate; instruct passengers to use life-saving, rescue, and escape equipment and tools; oassengers wear life jackets when participating in waterway traffic; do not put uninspected or expired vehicles into operation...

At the commitment signing ceremony, officers of Waterway Police Team also disseminated some key points of Decree 139/2021/NDCP of the Government on regulations on sanctioning administrative violations in inland waterway traffic for vehicle owners and representatives of ferry stations to raise awareness and sense of compliance with the law to ensure traffic order and safety.
