Thu Dau Mot city praises numerous groups and individuals for exemplary reintegration into the community efforts

On November 1, Thu Dau Mot city People's Committee convened a preliminary review of the three-year implementation of Decree No. 49/2020/ND-CP dated April 17, 2020, by the Prime Minister, detailing the implementation of the Civil Procedure Enforcement Law concerning reintegration into the community, and the one-year implementation of Decision No. 22/2023/QD-TTg dated August 17, 2023, by the Prime Minister, regarding credit access for individuals who have completed prison sentences within the city.

According to the report, Thu Dau Mot city Police Department has directed and assigned organizations to participate in the management, education, and support of 200 individuals; guided and completed residency registration procedures for 120 individuals; issued, exchanged, and re-issued identity cards for 30 individuals; and guided the procedures for applying for criminal record extracts for 20 individuals.

To date, Thu Dau Mot city Police Department has successfully established three models for education and support for individuals reintegrating into the community and those who have completed prison sentences in Phu My, Phu Cuong, and Phu Hoa wards. Furthermore, the city Police collaborated with counseling centers to provide job placement assistance for 190 individuals. The Bank for Social Policies – Binh Duong Provincial Branch has facilitated loans for 4 individuals totaling 280 million VND.

On this occasion, the Thu Dau Mot city People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 6 groups and 19 individuals for their significant contributions to reintegration into the community initiatives and credit provision for individuals who have completed prison sentences.
