Consumption stimulation on promotional programs

Amid difficulties of economy, making customers tighten expenditure, retailers and businesses in the province have continued reinforcing activities of discount and promotion, attracting customers' attention. This is considered as a measure of consumption stimulation in a bid to improve purchasing power in the end months of this year.  Shoppers are selecting clothes at Big C.To stimulate purchasing power and sharing burdens with customers, businesses and retailers have continued implementing promotional programs. They include Big C, Co.opMart, Metro, Vinatex. This is a good chance for them to spur production, maintain growth on trade and service fields, grasp customers' taste and affirm their trademarks. Especially, customers have enjoyed choices of using domestic products with the best quality.In September and October, Vinatex Mart has launched a program of "Welcoming birthday" on its 12th birthday anniversary. Specifically, the program has offered a 50% discount and a special prize of a VND500mil auto. On Oct. 10 alone, the supermarket will launch a program on same price, selling products worth VND20,000. Meanwhile, Thien Hoa home appliance supermarket has offered a 49% discount program for more than 120,000 products and other preferential policies for customers. At Co.opMart, 5 big promotional programs have been launched on Vietnamese Women's Day (Oct. 20). The programs have been lasted till Oct. 27. Meanwhile, Big C has launched 8 promotional programs for more than 2,000 essential products. In addition, from Oct. 1-7, Big C offered over 200 items of foodstuff and household utensils with promotional prices for housewives. Along with the mentioned promotional programs at supermarkets, market-days at rural areas have been organized lively, attracting numerous rural shoppers. In addition, mobile goods selling programs have been expanded to spur commodities distribution to customers at rural areas and industrial parks across the province. The plentiful promotional programs have become one of trade promotion activities, mobilizing customers to give priorities to Vietnamese goods.A rep of Co.opMart said that the supermarket won a 60% increase in retail turnover in September on the "Pride of Vietnamese goods" promotional program.
