Dau Tieng takes fruits in urban, agricultural-rural and tourism development

Dau Tieng district’s People’s Committee, on June 7, held a conference to partially sum up programs on urban, agricultural-rural and tourism development for the period of 2017-2020.

Reportedly, after three years of implementing these programs, the district’s urban planning management was implemented seriously and effectively, contributing to the local urban rejuvenation. The district also reached initial results in mobilizing people to build up civilized urban lifestyle; step by step perfected traffic infrastructure systems in urban areas of the district under the local mid-term public investment plan for the period of 2016-2020.

Over the past three years, the district also applied sci-tech advancements into production, thereby creating favorable conditions for the local farmers to promote production models and generate jobs for laborers; absorbed many enterprises in the fields of animal husbandry and agricultural production. In addition, the district implemented the local tourism development program for the period of 2017 and 2020 in association with political tasks. Dot-Champa tourism site welcomed 405,000 tourists and is expected to receive more than 580,000 tourists this year. The district’s tourism revenue was VND6.4billion in 2017 and is expected to reach VND9billion this year…
